It seems like an odd time of year to ask this question (with temps in the 80s), but I recently bought a 54" PUMA rear mount snowblower for my GC2310 and have been cautioned about being careful to measure the PTO shaft and cut if necessary.

I found a thread describing how to do this, but I wondered if there was someone who had that combination - and if so, whether it was necessary to cut the shaft?

If it does need to be adjusted, is this a simple DIY, or something that the dealer really should take care of (they're talking about picking up my tractor and taking it back to their shop, but I just wonder if that's really necessary)?

Thanks,
Jay

Jay, I think it's a DIY. Just make sure it does not jam through the entire range of motion of your TPH.
