McKissick 10 inch hook #410

I've got a McKissick 10" hook here at the house. It says "410" and that it has 25 ton capacity. We've got no use for at this point. I believe it is for use with a crane. Before he died, my wife's dad, I believe, was going to trade it for something else at one point but we don't have any idea if it is worth anything. Someone offered us $25 the other day for it. I'd hate to effectively give it away if it is worth something.

I've included a picture (not particular good) of it.

If anyone has any idea of what it is worth, I'd appreciate knowing what it is worth.

It looks like a snacth block.

Does the side of the pulley come apart, for laying in a cable?

$25 would be a 'very good' deal for someone, if it is a snatch block. Probably pretty heavy for the average CUT owner, but it would likely not break. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
