McCullough (who bought \'em?)

I've got a McCullough(?) hedge trimmer that needs some repairs to the drive train. Seems that they have disappeared as a co. or I'm overlooking it somehow. Any clues?

The company no longer exists. Parts do not exist.
The company ran itself down the drain, and nobody was interested in scrap value.

Browsing at Northern Hydraulics on Saturday and saw a stack of McCullough chain saws. Made in Taiwan, I think, with U.S. office in Southern Calif. Either really old stuff or somebody picked up the name and is using it for these imports. Had one of their leaf blowers once... don't think you ever could get parts for them.

Saw a Sutherland's ad last night, had a McCullough string trimmer advertised in it. Don't know any thing other than that, but the name is at least still around.
