I am looking at seriously upgrading to the most multi function machine I can get to in fact not have more than two machine on the property. An second hand backhoe for digging and this Tele Trac to do everything else. The U.K. based magazine Farmers Guardian 13 April 2007 has an article available on the internet. A Danish farmers magazine has a wmv showing it.
Although Merlo telehandlers were the first to have a telehandler with a tractor end: 3Pl and PTO the seat does not turn to make it Dual Drive.See Y-tube for merlo 60 degree movie!! McCormick are going Dual Drive. So no back and neck problems. I used to own a A.Carraro Trigone TriTrac 7700 4x4 then upgaded to the Ergit TRX 8400 but it let me down twice with transmission casings (made from cast iron) snapping. Check out rangerdave and his problem.
My questions to you all with your life experiences put together is:
1. Can 1 machine do All.
2. What are your opinions on this type of hybrid.
