Mcconnell Marc 425 XL

Recently purchased a used Mcconnell Marc 425 XL. From my research I think this tractor was made by Jinma. We are having issues with the hydrolics. Steering is poor at times. Like to know where we could find a repair manual/parts. Not having any luck finding anything under the Mcconnell Marc name. Especially want to know if and where there's a screen in the hydrolics.

According to a dealer that I know and respect, it depends upon the age of the machine. He says some are rebadged Shenniu, others rebadged TaiShan. This place claims to have ShenNiu parts, andt Chip Uren (user name BlueChip) might still be able to get TaiShan parts. I have a few KAMA/TaiShan parts left over from my own Chinese tractor days as well.

Most McConnell Marc 425 were Taishan TS254 2 cylinder tractors (we do still supply many parts for these), you are correct that the XL was a Jinma. there is a strainer screen in the hydraulic box located under the seat. disconnect the suction tube, remove 3 bolts and it will come out for cleaning (once seat is removed).

Thanks, This tractor was not well maintained. We are trying to replace all the fluids. Do you know where we can find a manual? Also a supply for parts such as new filters. Would a Jinma dealer have ones that fit? Also not sure where to add crank case oil. Found the drain plug & dip stick, but not sure where to add the oil.
Any recommendations on whats the best type of oil to use, also hydraulic fluid? Any help would be appreciated.

If it's the Jinma model, we will have the parts for it, not sure if the Jinma manual is the same or not.

Crankcase oil, most of the time thru the valve cover.
Shell Rotella 15W40
I would Use AW032 wt. hydraulic oil

Thanks, we have replaced crank case oil & hydraulic fluid. Tractor is working better. Again beeve the tractor is made by Jinma. We are guessing between 2003-2007. It has a 3 cylinder Yang Dong Y385 engine. what would be a comparable tractor under the Jinma name to find parts/manual?

With a 385 engine the comparable Jinma would be a 254 or 284. Those are extremely common.
