I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction n this one. my max26xl wont not turn over last week which I am pretty sure was a safety switch issue however my buddy decided to jump the starter. The tractor did start but shut off seconds later which led to the current problem of no lights to the dash. I do not know what my buddy touched when he jumped the starter but after probing and checking fuses he managed to blow the main and every other fuse in the box besides the hazard lights fuse. I replaced those as well as both the load and safety relays. the load relay appears to be bad with resistance show around 175ohms but with these changes I have had no luck getting power back to the dash.

One thing I did notice and I am unaware if this is normal but with the ignition off I only have power at the main and hazard fuses and it is the same case with the ignition switch at the on position. I was thinking my switch might be bad but my probe lights up when testing for power with the switch on. any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to TBN!

If whatever he did blew out all of those fuses, it's a good chance it fried some other terminals or contacts.
You say you have power at the switch coming out. Can you follow that circuit to the fuse block? I would look at the fuse contacts or the connection at the fuse block where the power comes in to it.

I probed the contact behind the plug that you hook the ignition switch to and when in the on position the probe lights up. I also did a continuity test on the switch with everything checking out ok. The only thing with the switch I was stumped on was an uneven resistance reading when in the on position. some times resistance was near zero while other times it would jump up to around 17ohms. Not sure but maybe it was something I was doing wrong.

Ill try and follow the circuit back to the fuse block. I did probe the contacts at the fuse box before I changed the relays and I got the same results as when I probed the fuses which was power to the main hazards but all other contacts where dead but didnt look damaged. I really thought I was onto something when I thought it was a bad load relay now I am just stumped
