Max26XL ETR solennoid fuse multiple failures

I noticed a number of threads discussing the ETR fuse blowing causing the starter not to start. Has anyone found why that was happening? Did it have anything to do with the seat safety wiring shorting? Has anyone disabled the seat safety wiring?

yes most probably the seat safety switch... ETR solenoid fuse will blow

I've run into this issue several times. Always found improper routing of the seat switch pigtail causing the wire to get pinched. You may have to get under seat deck and cut the ties on the main harness to give you enough slack on the pigtail for good routing. :thumbsup:
