Cool. How do you like the turf tires over the industrial tires? I see you are using chains. Is that why? Bruce

Exactly. I would have preferred industrials or agg's, but that's what was on the tractor when I got it. That's precisely why there are chains. They seem to work pretty good though as an alternative, and I just happened to have them laying around. Actually they made a BIG difference- that, and having the tires filled. Most of the property is on a side hill and they save my bacon. The chains barely fit with the backhoe on. In fact I can hear them rub a little once in a while.

Yeah, you really need that traction on hill sides. Especially when it's wet or damp. You can get the industrial tires down the road if you want. If you have your beast long enough, I'm sure you will need to buy new shoes for her sooner or later. B.

I would imagine most tractor tires will rot off before they would ever be half wore out and far more likely to get changed because they get cut or damaged. I've really been tempted to just get industrials, but the chains work real good- perhaps even better? Like you say... down the road maybe.... On the bright side for me, the turf tires are a little bit bigger profile than the industrials. I never understood why that is that there is a different size spec between the two types of tires? (Three actually)
