I hope you like it as much as I like mine. Check all bolts at 10hrs like the manual says, I found a couple that were loose. Checked again at 20 hrs no problems.

Agree. My Max28 Had several loose FEL bolts after 50 hours. Some are hard to get at, but you do not want a broken casting.

Got her delivered. Did a little work with the rotary cutter and the fel before the rain started. Hopefully I'll get some more seat time tomorrow.

Congrat's bud! You'll find all kinds of stuff you can use it for now that you have it so seat time probably won't be hard to get. Is that the 5' cutter with it? What was your first impression of that set up? Just asking because the 5' cutter is mostly likely going to be my next addition.

I got the 4' cutter so it will be slightly more maneuverable in the woods. Put a little bit more time on her yesterday but ground was wet so only got to brush hog along the road. The red clay here is pretty sticky. Hosed hejr off when I got done and then spent twice as log hosing the clay off my driveway.

Grossr, where are all the safety stickers that come on the loader frame? Mine must have at least 6 per side, although I have never read them. LOL

These safety stickers? They are on the left side.

Mahindra paint and safety stickers are not like Kubota's. Just take your 4000 Psig pressure washer and point. they will not be there long.

So it looks like you got the shuttle?

Max has a decent shuttle, much nicer than a straight gear transmission. I am no fan of a 2 speed HST's, as you get a lot more power to ground with the shuttle.

I purchased a 26XL HST last April with a back blade for 15,500. Since then I have added a 5' brush hog, 48" rototiller, a set of pallet forks, debris forks and a 48" box blade. It handles them all without issues. It has just under 100 hours on it now. The rear tires do need ballast.

New member looking to buy a max 26xl.
I've been shopping around for a larger sub compact tractor for my 3 wooded acres. I've been pricing tractors with fel and rotary cutter.
The max26xl shuttle comes in at 15,500 cash price or 16,500 with financing.
I've been trying to compare it to other brands in comparable models what I came up with is the Kubota B2601 with fel and rotary cutter Wich comes in at 16,800. And for the **** of it I went and looked at a JD, I looked at the 3025e with fel and rotary cutter Wich came in at 17,600.

I know they are all capable machines but was expecting the Mahindra to be considerably less expensive then the others with larger followings.
I have two dealers nearby one in Columbus GA and one in Montgomery AL.
What advice do y'all have for me. Is it possible to get a bit more knocked off the price of the max which would make this an easier decision.

purchased max26xl shuttle 2 yrs ago with backhoe... machine will do everything you need... I use it for side business, great for getting into small back yards, but enough to handle most things you'll need... dug 200' ft for waterline 4' deep, dug out stumps. boulders... you cant go wrong...
have 4' landpride brushhog... 50 " landpride tiller, single drop plow, 5' push blade, 6' York rake plus the backhoe... just plumbed in 3rd function for grapple... have 300 hrs on it... I've done all maintenance as scheduled and have had 0 issues... hope this helps... Good luck with whatever you choose...

Nice setup, how many hours do you have on it? I have been saving up for the third function grapple setup myself.

surprised you need ballast... mine came loaded from the dealer at no extra cost...

Re: Max 26xl (Real Ballast)

A 700 Lb steel filled concrete block plus 60lb block of steel on front attached to bottom of brush guard helps.

Weight is your friend. My Max28 is over 3,000 lbs and that is just about right for it's size and power.

For the size of the tractor, it has quite the powerful 3Pt hitch, as it can lift a ton.

just went through dealer for setup... checked 4-5 places around me, all the same price... 1500.00 for kit and labor from them...
I work 50 hrs mon-fri, then usually all wknd on machine... no time to do it myself...

To clarify, is 1500.00 including grapple?

My BIL & SIL just bought a home 6 miles form us. Nice place with a lot of room the clutter up!. He bought the previous owners B2620 with 70 hours on it as part of the deal. It is just a tad smaller than my Max28 size wise, 50" bucket vs 54" and about 250 lbs. lighter bare weight. My slightly "Modified" Max has +40-50% more capacity all around. But the Max is like comparing a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution - Sports Sedan | Mitsubishi Motors to a Honda Accord, or Acura. The specs and performance of the EVO blows the Honda away. But the Honda is a "nicer" better featured machine. I knew this when I bought the Max28. It was the right choice for me, but I appreciate the little extra features and quality of Kubota.

Does anyone know of a Company that makes a hard cab for the Max 26XL. The only place that I have found them is through Mahindra. Curtis does not make them at all for Mahindra. I am not at this time inclined to be forced to buy a Mahindra cab.
