max 25 no start

well used it last week after some serious COLD and sarted no issues. tried to start it today to get some stuff done and moved and not a grind sound, click, or notta. just nothing. charged the battery and tried again and no sound. newer battery so that is good. i replaced it a year plus ago. battery connectors are greased so they are covered to aid in corrosion. so any clues? cold out so have to wait until it warms to try to check out the battery cable ends. just nott a sound.... weird.

thanks. wll have to try to trace the wire. they do not make it wasy that is for sure. they cram everything against everything else and hard to get access to just about anything.

No sound, no anything could be a safety. My jacket caught a PTO lever which would not allow it to start. My dealer chuckled and said he fields a few call a year when it gets cold. The other thing to try is putting your knee in the seat. Sometimes the cold will prevent the seat foam from compressing enough to hit the safety.

bingo - if you were closer i'd give you a bottle of wine from the vineyard. i am 66 and been driving tractors since i was 12 and even as a job 12 hrs a day x 7 days and never did such a stupid dumb-***** thing. duuuuuuhhhhhh. thanks. that was running in the back of my head but since i never did anything like that - just put it out. must have hit it when i was getting off. what a numbnuts. eh!???

Hi all,Had a similar problem with my Max 25.One day would not start. No lights no nothing. Like Reb 954 said check the ground connection to the frame. Mine looked fine,no corrosion,but unbolted and took grinder and cleaned off paint and wa la.
Perfect again. Love my little tractor.
