In the fill port? A p.o.s.Plastic screen which I broke filling up one day... Paid dearly for the shop to remove the pieces. The little white plastic bits clogged the fuel line outlet inside the tank! Be careful!

I usually remove those things. My cyclone rake had one in it. Couldn’t see when tank was getting full and spilled over once. Then I took that thing out. Same on dads JD 325.

my weird story - first day i got the tractor and filled it the 5 gal diesel can and the new damn filler lock releases slipped from the edge of the tank and pushed mine in the tank. tried to get it out and gave up. it has been 10 yrs and the only issue is it appears to affect the actual fuel level gauge at times... but i live with it. boy was that stupid.
