MAX 22 leaking FEL valve.

Any one out there seeing any leaks from there spool valves on there FELs?(MAX series) Had Lift seals fail twice on same unit! Bad valve or lifting to much weight?

Not a lick of trouble with mine. Just the normal drips from around the QD's. You might try plumbing in a pressure gauge and see what you are getting for max pressure on the lift to check the relief. When you try lifting, will the back tires come off the ground?

If you have had issues with cylinder seals AND valve seals, I would me changing your fluid and filter. There is likely a contamination issue. Something is damaging seals in the system.

I'd bite if I was having issues with the whole system but its just the lift spool. Could be though, Lift spool was the only thing damaged. oil and filters were changed I'll pull the spool out and check both spool and bore for damage. Thanks

Since those seals are only seeing tank pressure is there some restriction in the return line causing excessive pressure?

Unit is equiped with BH. No tire lifting.

I doubt excessive pressure is blowing your seals then (lifting too much weight).
You've got more patience than me. I'd be pulling the whole valve by now and replacing it if you have already replaced them twice. That is... if your are confident in the new seals you put in there.

Replacing the valve will definitely be the next step if Mahindra will pay for it. I was surprised when I did the job the first time and discovered the spools had O-rings not seals. Seemed a little chincy to me.

my previous tractor had o rings and held up very well for 25 years or so. I don't think that's a problem.

O-rings are used everyday in hundreds of configurations to seal hydraulics.

The spools themselves dont have seals. The end caps do. And the end caps shouldnt have much pressure on them. I think you have something else going on.

Any pictures of the suspect area?
