Massy Furguson Lift Arms

I have a MF 231S. The problem I'm having is with the lift arms going down. With a heavy implement like a bush hog it works ok, but with lighter implement attached I literaly have to get off the tractor and push it down. Thanks for the help.

The operator manual will show where the lever or knob is that controls the rate of descent.

I think MF used a rabbit and a turtle icons.

The knob under the seat between your legs adjusts the drop rate.

When my 135 did that a few years ago I had water in the hydraulic fluid from letting it set out in the rain with cracked shifter boots. I don't do that anymore.
I would have to actually stand on the arms to get the bale spear low enough to stab a hay bale.
