Massey gc2300 radiator cap

Has anyone found a third party replacement radiator cap? I dropped mine inside the machine and cannot find it. Dealer wants $42.00 for replacement. I would guess that somebody offers a replacement from Stant or other manufacturer. I assume that this is a 7psi rated cap?

I replace my radiator caps about every 3 years no matter what because the internal spring looses it's spring tension.

I always buy OEM however.

Starting batteries every 5 or sooner as well.

I quess nobody has had to replace their radiator cap. Or if they did they went OEM?

Thanks Willy, The problem I am having is that none of these items cross reference to the Massey 4264789M1 part number. Unfortunately I have not been able to find spec's on the 4264789M1 part for size, number of tangs and pressure ratings. I hope someone on here can provide some additional details. I called local dealer and he has one but at $55.

Looking at the picture of Massey 4264789M1 it shows 1.1 bar which translates to 16PSI. Plunger looks to be about 1" diameter. and it is a two tang cap. So it looks like I am off to the parts store to see what might be compatible.

I would just look for the cap couldn't have gone far...

Raf caps are one of the least replaced items on anything including cars and trucks. Again the issue with them is the heat and cool cycles weakens the spring and weak springs won't hold coolant pressure and coolant needs to be pressurized to work properly.
