How much ballast weight would you recommend for a Massey GC2300?

Your Massey GC2300 is about the same as my JD 2305.

Depending what implement is on the front of the tractor and the type of work you're doing, 240 lbs. to 600 lbs. in a ballast box works good.

About 300-500 pounds for front end loader work. 300lbs past the 3pt lift arm eyes, 500lbs if centered on the lift arm eyes.

I made a 2x2x1 foot box for my ballast (4 cubic feet) and concrete weigh about 150 pounds per cubic foot... So my ballast is about 600 pounds.... Maybe a little heavy , but it works for me....

Dead Deere weighs in at 520 lbs according to JD documents...
