Massey GC1700 DL95 Operation

I heard that MF is looking at making the float easier to engage on the GC in the near future - something to do with changing the detent on the loader valve. The float positon can be accessed regardless if the joystick is moved quickly or slowly, but it easier to accee if the lever is moved quickly.

Maybe an improvement on the GC2300 series lever, which will easily pop out of float?

I have to keep a hand on mine all the time to keep it in float; first bump I hit will make it come out of float otherwise. Common problem on the 2300 tractors.

I can't comment on product prior to my gc1715 version . . but now that I found out how to put it in float mode . . I find it very easy to engage and still adjust the tip and curl amount while in float. In mine . . There is no mistaking it is engaged and does not slip or come out of it without a definite and solid tug on the joystick.
