I have a leak on one line running from the fuel pump to the injector on my Massey GC2300 with a Iseki E3112 engine. The leak is where the line connects to the fuel pump. I have tried tightening the line nut but still leaks. I do not see a o-ring in this fitting. Does anyone know if there is suppose to be a o-ring or have any other idea's on this leak

Most of us has had to fix this fuel line leak, here's a link with more links in the thread that just might help you.

Good luck, KC

The issue is not the main feed line but the hard lines that go from the injector pump to the injector. I had removed them to rebuild the head, now I have a leak, Trying to find out if there are any o-rings in the connector.

On diesel engines there are no o-rings injector lines have a flared fitting on each end.

Agreed there are no seals at this point, just a tapered seat. One thing you could try. I've had good success with this many many times. Loosen the line nut one flat, then jam it down tight. Loosen it again and jam it down tight again. You will see that each time the wrench will go a little bit further than it did the last time. Do this three times and see what improvement it makes. I like to use two wrenches whenever possible, one one injector and one on the line nut.

What I would do if I were you is, I'd remove the fitting and carefully clean and polish the flare with fine steel wool or something that will polish the flare and then reassemble it. What I do with sweat unions when I take them apart and reassemble them. You remove any crud or tarnish and they seal right up with no issue. I would imagine it would work in high pressure flare fittings as well.

still fighting leaks. has anyone used conical copper washers to help seal this connection? If you did can you provide any data on size and vendor?

Just an update. What I thought was a fuel leak ended up being a blown water pump gasket at the top of the water pump. Coolant was being splashed on the fuel line connections by the fan making it look like a fuel leak. Tore everything apart and top part of gasket was missing. Now everything is tight with no leaks. Just a note: could not see the leak at low RPM, only when throttled up.

Thanks for everyone's help
