Hey guys im new to this so bare with me. I have a Massey Ferguson 240 with the Perkins 2.5L 3-cyl diesel, its a great running tractor but lately its been giving me what seems to be fuel issues. The tractor will crank up and run fine but after about 20-30 mins it will idle up high like im pushing the throttle then it will idle back down. it will do this about 4-5 times then die. in order to get it to crank back you have to pump it up and either use ether or a gas rag to try and get it to crank. it will eventually crank back but then die again after about 5-10 mins. we have had the fuel filters changed ,cleaned tank out, and blew lines out in case of trash and spent a couple hundred getting it looked at and thought issue was resolved but its doing same thing again. before having it looked at again and sinking more money into the same thing was checking to see if anyone had any suggestions or dealt with this before.
