Massey Ferguson TO-35
Hello, wondering about adding a hydraulic pump onto the front of the tractor? The regular pump isn't working. I'd appreciate suggestions / advice. Thank you.

What are you going to use the pump to power. Freeman Loaders had a front mounted pump that utilized a combination axle pivot pin with a clearence hole in it for a shaft and a pump mounting built on to the pivot pin. There was a splined coupling bolted to the front pulley to drive the pump. You may want to move this thread to the Massey vintage section, you may get more feedback there.

Good morning and thank you for your suggestion. I want to be able to lift a rotary mower and a disc off the ground when they're not active.

if yoy want to run the 3pt.. why not just repair the original tractor pump?? should be easier than reinventing the wheel??

Good morning and thank you for your suggestion. I want to be able to lift a rotary mower and a disc off the ground when they're not active.

I assume you have pull type implements that require an auxiliary hydraulic cylinder to lift them. Your internal pump is bad you say. Do you have any quick disconnects and an auxiliary valve on the tractor to hook an auxiliary hydraulic cylinder if your pump was working? A decent size pump alone may set you back $200, then you need somewhere to store hydraulic fluid, whether it is pulled out of the differential or adding an additional tank, then you have an auxiliary valve, hoses and fittings. You may well be cheaper to fix the tractor hydraulic pump cheaper and like soundguy stated you will have your TPH operating again. What are the symptoms of the pump being bad? Maybe it something simple that can be fixed easily and cheaply.
