I just purchased a new massey ferguson 1635 and love the machine itself, but have one question about the hydrostatic transmission. there is three ranges on it, a "snail" speed which is very slow a mid range which is the best overall speed and high range. my question is that when doing loader work in mid range as you dig into a pile the transmission seems to stall (pushing the pedal but the tires do not move) and also when in high range even at full throttle it will not climb even small hills. I am new to hydro transmissions in mid size tractors so is this normal?
