Massey ferguson 1529 skid plate

Thought I'd share this here as well. My dad asked me to help him weld up a skid plate for his 1529 massey and this is what we came up with.

Thank you. It needs to warm up so we can paint it massey gray. Once painted it really won't even be to noticeable which is nice.

What gauge / thickness of steel did you use for the skidplate? I like your design!

We bought a 4'x8' sheet of 3/8". I have a little over half of it left over to build a pan for my kubota now. It was expensive but we didn't want to use rusty old metal on such a new tractor. It was really fairly simple for the massey and was a fun project. The kubota will be a little more in depth but I'll be sure to post it on here as well.
