We own a 1996 Massey Ferguson 1235, Last year we had a Woods Front mount bucket loader installed at a local dealship. The hyd. lines to the loader attaches to 4 factory mounted quick couplings behind the seat. The hyd valve is a factory mounted joy stick.
Our problem: The loader does not seem to have enough power. If you attempt to load the bucket the hyd do not have enough power to lift the bucket when it is full. You constantly have to work the tilt lever to load the bucket. If you tilt the bucket all the way in the dump position and place on the ground it will not pick the front of the tractor up. (The tilt operation will lift the front end) You can move the tractor forward to assist and it will pick the front end up off the ground.
It only shows a loss of power with the lift hyd. Hyd fluid has been changed and new filter installed. Almost seems like the relief valve is not holding.
Open for suggestions.

Are you perhaps going into float mode when you push the lever fwd.

What is the pressure on the valve when you are trying to raise the front end.

If the tilt will raise the front wheels off the ground, then you must have some pressure.

Does the valve go into relief when you pull the lever back and hold it?

Does the 3pt work with something heavy.

You could also have a leaky valve spool or a leaking cyl.

Provide us with some pressure readings.

I have not done any pressure readings. The reason why is because I do not know where to attach the gauge to check, also unsure of readings.
The 3 point hitch is strong. Will pick up 72 in finish mower, Gill, Landscape with no trouble.
If you lift the bucket all the way up and hold the joy stick the pressure relief opens.
There are no hyd leaks around the outside of the valve.
I can place the valve in float while trying to raise the front of the tractor off the ground and it will release allowing the front to lower. When you move the valve to raise it will attempt to lift the tires but falls short unless you assist as posted in the previous posting.

Thanks

If your lift hoses has QD's, plug the gage into the lift QD and activate the lift hyd. This will block system hyd flow and you should read system pressure. If it does read system pressure and the relief goes off, that means the valve is probably good.

You could even swap lift hoses with curl hoses and see if the trouble swaps to the curl circuit.

Perhaps the lift cyl seals are leaking.
