Massey 4710 warning lights and buzzer after shutdown.

Hello,

I am going thru a new to me MF4710. One thing that I am seeing is that when the tractor shuts down via the key (neutral, clutch in, parking brake on, sitting in seat) is that the operator presence light on the panel illuminates, the parking brake light starts flashing and the warning buzzer sounds off. This will go on for about 20-30 seconds and then quits. Is this normal for this tractor? According to the manual the parking brake light will flash and the buzzer will sound if the operator gets out of the seat and the shuttle is not in neutral and the parking brake is not set but it doe not say anything about warning after shutdown.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Does it still happen if you don't have the clutch pushed in when you turn the key OFF? Having the clutch pushed in is part of the logic required to start the engine, but it might be confusing it when turning the engine OFF (in other words as soon as the power is OFF it thinks you are trying to start it again because the pedal is pushed in).

When I shut mine down, I only put the FWD Rev shifter in neutral and put on parking brake...nothing else. Works fine.

Thanks for the suggestions but no luck so far. I am resisting getting the service manual but I suspect that is going to be the only way I am going to sort this one out..
