Massey 35 relief/return port?

Hi all.

Following the success of my loader renovation, I am now building a log splitter for my 1965 MF35.
I have a valve and ram, but I dont see where I would send the hydraulic fluid back into the tractor.
Can anyone help in this regard?

Make an adapter and use the hyd filler cap

I read somewhere that there was a return port on the LHS near the cross shaft - do you recall that at all?
I've got the standard tipping trailer feed to the back which I was going to use for my feed - how easy is it to make a second hard pipe for the return do you think?

Thanks for the lnks JJ. I'm not in the US but the pictures are interesting.
I wonder if it makes more sense to mount the spool valve on the tractor or the splitter?

You log splitter should have it's own valve.

You need a supply of hyd fluid to the back for the log splitter.

Just active the valve on your tractor to send fluid to the back and dump the log splitter fluid to the filler cap.

It was the dump that I was unsure about. I'll stick a 1/2" BSP adapter in it and route a pipe to the rear and add a quick connector for both flow and return paths.

Does anyone recall the AF size of the oil filler cap?
I'm trying to work out if I can fit a 1/2" BSP adapter in it which needs a 3/4" drill for tapping.
