Massey 2705 Leaking PTO Shaft

Hello, I am trying to replace the seal in the pto shaft of this 2705. I have removed the snap ring but i cannot get the plate out of there to get to the seals. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you are not looking at the seal right now? Gently tap in at the edge somewhere. If it yields and goes in, that’s the seal.
To remove it, drill a small pilot hole in the seal and screw in a sheet metal screw. Use the right length so that it is flush with the casting/housing. Pry under the head of the screw to pull it out.
