Sold my Case Farmall 45 now looking to buy a Massey 1758. I read somewhere the tractor rpm's ramp up the more the HST pedal is pushed, this is a nice feature at times but I would like to be able to keep the tractor at low idle when I move through different pedal positions on the HST. I haven't driven one yet but does anyone know if that mode can be disabled? I drove a Kubota today that had this feature of ramping the rpms when the pedal is pushed more but the mode could be disabled which I thought was needed. Thanks for any help.

With Deere the auto throttle is switched on and off as is Kubota. I would expect the same to be true for Massey Ferguson too.

Sure hope so, this feature is new for me so I don't know much about it at all. It can be very useful I bet but not in all situations.

I use it quite a lot for grading work as it allows me to easily pause or at least slow down and adjust the grade height before carrying on. Very handy for box blade work. For pto tools such as rototilling and mowing I turn it off and use the manual throttle but will then use the cruise control to maintain a fixed ground speed. Given the fact that it is ideal for some operations while not ideal for others I can't imagine that you would not be able to choose whether this option would be switched on or off.
