Massey 1533

Hello, Was on my 1533 yesterday when I heard a Pop and saw Smoke on right side of motor. After Investagation I determined it was the Solenoid on the back of the injector pump ( melted the rubber cover ) has anyone ever seen one of these short out before ??? Thanks for the help

Sorry I can't help you but I posted about my JD4100 MAKING A POP AND A POOF. Not sure how comparable our tractor are but how did you determine the injector solenoid and where is it located?

Well on my Massey 1533 it is on the very back of the injector pump, it is held on with 2 screws. I believe this solenoid is the equivalant of a kill switch. I know after this happened I turned it off and then it wouldnt start back, so I took it off and then it would start but wouldnt turn off. So I had to put it in high gear and let out on the clutch to kill it !!
