Changed oil and filter on massey 135 Perkins 3 cyl gas. Canister. There are missing pieces in the canister. Would like to convert to spin on filter type. Any suggestions or coments. Thanks

I have a TO-30 and switched to a spin on. No more leaks and drips! The only disadvantage that I can see with spin on is if you work in the woods, a spin on can get punctured by a tree limb, stick, etc whereas an OEM canister might be more rugged in this situation.
