I drove by a local farm equipment dealer today just to browse the lot. They had several Maschio tillers out on the lot. A good rotary tiller is high on my "Want List". Is anyone familiar with these tillers? Are they any good? Where are they made? I am particularly interested in the Maschio model H-205 with an 81" working width that I saw on the lot.

These are premium Italian made implements. Maschio is a major manufacturer and well established in Europe. I believe Maschio does OEM manufacturing for a variety of tractor brands sold in the USA.

I'm surprised you are not looking at the B205:D

I have one. Only 51". It is the same as JD's Frontier. I have had no trouble with it. About 30-40 hours on it and the tines are about wore out (we got some good hard pan around here and I don't pre-work the ground before tilling). I do think it is alittle light and if I was doing it over I think I would go with a reverse rotation tiller and 6 blades but I really can't complain about the thing

Okay, what's the difference between the B-205 and the H-205?

About 300lbs. They have quite a range of tillers in each size. I have no doubt the H205 would be great and I was just teasing you because you like to go bigger, heavier, better.:)

Whoa!! From the best I can figure the H-205 probably goes for around $3,500. Not too horrible, considering. The C-205 goes for about $6,500!!!
I think I'll stick with my plans to eventually, someday get a CCM SR-210 for $2,500.

Keep your eyes open for used ones. Missed out on a true John Deere 84" one last year for $800 and was to busy to go north about 3 hours to get a John Deere 96" one for $1000.:( Good used implements are out there and a whole lot less $$$$.
