Marijuana on the job

And you can't put someone on a machine that's on prescription drugs that may make them uncoordinated, unstable on their feet, drowsy, etc... They'll get injured. We had several people that we let go because they were on some meds that made them not be able to function. Then they sued. And they lost. We did everything we could to accommodate them, but in the end, they could not perform the task(s) safely.

Heck is not just machinery. I do not operate any machinery for my work. I have back trouble. When it really goes out I need muscle relaxants and Norco. It is NOT a good idea to practice law doped up like that. Thankfully I work for a small family business and my employer knows I am worth my weight in gold. So I get a few days of RR when that happens.

No, it was Bill, from the Clinton Crime Syndicate! And he didn't have sex with that woman either.

The key here is whether or not it affects your job performance and safety. Shouldn't matter what the legal substance is as long as you can safely do all aspects of your job as expected.

Just like guns, society wants to control the use of, and seems often to disregard the misuse. It's easier I guess to tax and control the law abiding, working folk.

Ignore the guy that has had numerous convictions for DUI and then hurts or kills someone, but fine the crap out of some secretary that had one too many glasses of wine and was doing absolutely nothing wrong and just trying to get home. Police should be ashamed of themselves for doing this tax collection business!

Also as I think somebody noted, it might be NOT having access to the meds that causes a problem. People with bloodsugar issues can be downright dangerous if it isn't managed properly. And then there are those that used to be called 'bipolar' or 'manic/depressive' whatever the current term is.

A Diabetic friend ran over himself with his tractor. He only got some busted ribs, and I'm surprised he didn't get killed. Yet, he faught tooth and nail to still drive his car! It was all about him and not the safety of others, I guess.

Based on your statement I would assume you have No Common sense!

Yes I know a couple folks who made it to old age smoking and using chewing tobacco but I know more who have not. I have even lost a close family member who died of lung cancer at the tender age of 18. Point being anyone tells you smoking is any good for anything other than maybe it helps some folks stay calm ( which I believe to actually be mor of a sicological reaction) they would be very unwise. If someone tells you that the flue shots that are mostly tested in a lab in a much shorter time frame than is really needed is going to be good for everyone they are basically full of the same bull s? !

Where is it you live that the police collect taxes?
