Update,
The day after I paid $200, I found an add in the paper for one exactly the same (1 year old) for $50. A couple had used it for one season to cool off during the hot summer. Needless to say, I returned the one I bought. This just keeps getting better.

Snofalls,
I might take your advice and get a pond pump. This might also be a good idea as I might use it as a fish pond afer the kids are done with it. Hopefully they have one I can plumb into the side of the pool.

Can't take any pictures now as it is dark, however I plan posting my progress of the in ground kiddies pool as I move along.

We used the same pool Eddie has. In fact, I probably spent the most time in it :D It was great after a day of working on my remodeling. I'd sit in it with a cold one and just relax.

To fight off the algae, we had a small chlorine float with only a few tablets floating around in it. (the chlorine container will tell you how many tablets to use for your size pool) I think I only dumped it and refilled it twice all summer.

Wow, my Goldens would get a kick out of one of those!

Have you looked at these? My wife talked me into one a couple years ago. Nice for cooling down after working outside in the summer.
