Mahinrda parts availability

my mahindra dealer didn't have a part i needed, so he took it off a new machine that was on the lot to keep me running. you shouldn't have to worry about getting parts in a reasonable amount of time. if your dealer is as committed to customer satisfaction as mine is, you won't be having much, if any down time. good luck on your decision, and let us know what you choose!

As a Mahindra Dealer, I have to tell you that I have NEVER had any problem getting parts for a Mahindra tractor. We have a lot of them out in the fields now, and they don't break down much, but the parts that I need have always been available.

Are the parts for the larger non-compact tractors as available as the parts are for the compacts? The reason that I ask that is because my dealer was a Mahindra dealer. He only sold the non-compact models. I know that he was having a hard time getting parts for these models. That is why he quit selling Mahindra. I just wanted to know if the problem with getting parts for the larger tractors has been eliminated. I really like several of the Mahindra models. Matter of a fact, at one time I almost bought a 4110.

Jerry, a couple of years ago, the parts situation wasn't so good. We had problems with communication and supplies. It was a headache at times. Then they expanded the facility about 500% and hired a new parts manager. Things got way better in a very short period of time. Now we have online (for dealers only) parts ordering and very responsive people at the warehouse. As to the parts for the larger tractors, we haven't had any problems. I will say though, 80% of what we sell is the smaller stuff.

Dave,
Thanks for the reply. If they had remedied the parts problem sooner my dealer would still be selling Mahindras. I though from the way some of you guys talked that the situation had improved, but I wondered if it was for all of the tractors or just the compacts. I'm glade to see that everything is working better.

Parts availability is becoming a non-factor for most tractor brands these days. Even the Chinese imports are getting to the point that parts availability is not much of a problem. Gray market tractors may be a horse of a different color (gray?), I imagine some of them are a bit tougher to come by due to the original manufacturers not supporting them in the US.

This is the main reason I have a Mahindra in my shed and a non-running Iseki behind it.

I love my Mahindra and would definitely buy another one....BUT I am having trouble getting a small oil seal.....1 1/2 year later and my dealer(s) keep having to "check" on it. Both of them just can't seem to get the seal......BUT with that said, I am still very satisfied with my tractor and dealer.

Your dealer should be able to log onto the computer, turn his monitor around and let you pick the seal you want and have it on your doorstep in a few days. Sounds like dealer run around. I have experienced the same thing with other products. Don't be fooled Mahindra's parts system is impressive.

Travis,
Take your seal to the local Napa store or local bearing shop and they should have no problem finding a seal that will work .

I'm considering buying a 3215 HST. A good friend of mine heard from a friend (who works for another tractor manufacturer) that it was difficult to get parts for Mahindra tractors. The local dealer says Mahindra parts stocking is excellent. What has been your experience?

After reading down through the posts here I just wonder how long will we be able to get parts for tractors when they quit making models? Gee, I could probably go to a Farmall shop and just about buy enough parts to build a new one. My Super C has to be 60 years old. Down the road will the Mahindra, and others, be like some 6 year "old " computer; works fine but cant get a special plug that broke. Have to pitch it.

However, if I get 20 years out of the tractor I'll be ready for the bone yard anyway. Let someone else worry about it. I don't think I'll be like a neighbor farmer of mine. He would be on the tractor well into his 90s. Have a neighbor lady who just made 100yrs and she dug and planted her garden this season.

Cheers...Coffeeman
