MF 135 soon to be Kubota
I was looking at some of the Mahindras the other day and it seems like at least some of the models had filters and other items in locations that would expose them to damage on jobs such as bushhogging in heavy growth. Anybody have any bad experiences with this?

ON my 6000 the power steering line should be better protected. I tore a hole in the bottom one and bent the top one pushing brush. On the other hand stuff like that wouldn't happen if I didn't keep mistaking it for a bulldozer!

Don't know about all Mahindra"s,and I think you can't say all Mahindra's are vulnerable. I own a 4110 with 435 hrs on it. I have pulled logs out of heavy forest , plus other assorted tasks
with no problems. Had one close call when I was gouging out the side of a hill with the fel ( needed the dirt for fill) when a boulder the size of the front tire come down and hit the bracket support for the fel just in front of the hood, the tractor took the hit with no damage. "LUCKY" ! ? I don't think the boulder had enough distance to gain momentom. My point is its more a matter of the operator's judgement ( like my near miss ) than
it is a problem with the tractor.

Most tractors have exposed electrical cables, hydraulic & fuel lines and filters; that is the nature of the beast. In general if you watch what is going on you will have no problems.

We could always armor them. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Course then we would have to paint them orange and move to PittsburgH /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nature of the beast. All tractors and most equipment have exposed hyd lines, filters, fuel lines, wires, ect.
