Oil & Fuel Mahindra transmission screen

Just bought a Mahindra 4025 with 172 hours from a dealer that took it In trade for a new Mahindra. According to the owner's manual the transmission screen should be cleaned at 50 hours. I'm assuming that none of the new tractor maintenance was done. No problem but when I asked the tech at the dealership about cleaning the screen you would have thought I had two heads. I'm planning on doing it myself and the question I had for the tech was will all the oil leak out of the transmission if I remove the screen cover? He could or would not give me an answer. Anyone know?

Yes, you will loose the hyd fluid, you should drain the tank first.

If your 4025 is set up like my 2012 4530 yes you will lose all of your fluid.I drained the fluid cleaned the magnet on the drain plug.Pulled the strainer cleaned it out.filled her up and away we go...

I also have a 4025 and there is no doubt you will loose your fluid. Tricky little sucker getting out.
