Mahindra Trans Fluid

Getting ready to do the 50hr first service on my Mahindra 6110. I don't see a spec. on what trans fluid to use in the owners manual. Can anyone tell me what the spec. is for trans fluid for this tractor?

I have the smaller 3016. In my owners manual, it does not give specs but states which other oils other than Mahindra's are satisfactory to use. When I checked pricing for these other oils, I found most of them to be more expensive than Mahindra oil and more difficult to obtain. Those that weren't were only about $10 cheaper. If you go to your local Tractor Supply, you'll read on one of their 5 gallon house brand pails that their oil applies to use in Mahindra. As Mahindra has not given this ok for their (TS) oil, I'll stick with the Mahindra brand for now while the tractor is in warranty. Should the tractor innards fail while under warranty, no one can give me a hard time that it isn't covered because you did not use a Mahindra specified oil.

Asked the same question of my dealer for my 2008 Mahindra 5525 (55 hp engine). Reply: any universal transmission fluid that meets the John Deere 303 spec. I used the Traveller brand from Tractor Supply during the 6 years I owned that 5525.

Deere 303 is an old substandard spec back when 4020's were new . Deere now specs an improved lil.

303 works fine in my older '60 vintage Fords, including the tranny. For my Branson I use TSC Premium. Read the label. It's orange. That's one of your clues it's for todays equipment. I think Warren is the distributor for it and lots of other oils/greases for other purposes nationwide.
