Mahindra shuttle shift

How does the shuttle shift work on the newer Mahindra tractors (4530, 5035)? Never used a shuttle before, only a collar shift CUT.

Probably the same as my 7520 and Kubotas. A lever projecting leftward from the steering column. Push it to the forward position to move forward in the gear you have selected, and backward to go backward. You have the same # of, and speeds, forwards as in reverse. The 7520 shuttle is synchroed. The clutch must be used for all shifting and shuttling.
