Mahindra prices going up 10/1?

I've been talking with my dealer about a new 4025. He just said Mahindra prices are going up October 1st, and advised me to sign a contract and lock in a deal at the current prices. Is this true, or is it just a slick sales pitch?

Its true, all the dealers got the word 2 weeks ago.

Prices go up on Oct 1st.

I have an order in for 5 more, to beat the increase.

It's a fact, a few hundred $$ on most models.

Yep, the dealer I've been talking to about a 4530 said it'd go up 8%-12%. Do the math, and you'll see it's more than a few hundred bucks. We're talking a few thousand bucks. The 4530 @ $23,000 now would be $25,000 to $25,760 in October.

I think this is a perfect time to buy if you are interested... I think that interest rates/inflation is going to be bad in the future. They already stole all they could from our home values, and are thinking up ways to enrich themselves in other ways....

I think any salesman worth his salt would be talking up a price increase. It helps you to make a more informed decision.

Would you like it if you looked at a tractor in September and made a decision to buy in October, and waited until October, only to find out you will have to shell out more $$$?

If true, an 8-12% price increase would really, really hurt sales, imho. That would be a remarkable jump up. I've noticed that most guys here price their purchase out with a pretty sharp pencil. That's $2000 on a $20K machine.

I'd think they'd space that out with a few hundred dollar incremental type price hikes over time.

Interesting that the US Dollar is down around 8-12% against the Indian Rupee over the last year. That weaker dollar is a double edge sword.

If everything goes well we will get our new 4025 with FEL this weekend. I'm glad we will miss this price jump.
