Tractor
Ferg. To 20, 1956 Massey F. MF 25 diesel, Ferg. 40, 1944 John D. A, 1965 cockshutt 40,
Long story short looking to buy a house soon. I have a Massey ferg. Diesel 25 HP the size of a 9n to get me by and do small chores. I want a 4wd, 40 HP fel tractor and was checking out kubotas but have now stubbled upon mahindra.

Please tell me if you are satisfied with your purchase. I am doing research and the financing and 5 year warranty really sticks out! Need a tractor for heavy jobs like moving snow, moving fire wood and of course FEL work lifting etc.

I see they are wet sleeved mishibisi engines that are very competitive when it comes to reliability and cold starting. Please tell me what you think after you purchased.

I have a 4110 4wd with loader. Bought it used at a yard sale. Thought I would clean it up and sell it. After I started using it, decided it had found a home. Very pleased with it. Please research the engines more. Not all are "mishibisi engines ". The 4110 is a TYM tractor.

I will tell you that I bought my Mahindra largely-based on the advice of a retired long-time business consultant (meaning that he made $millions). He handed me a 2" stack of research papers that he assembled in the 1 year-long process of buying his own 3016 HST.

Looking at a tractor as an investment; I have this belief: People who love money more than anything else tend to make fewer financial mistakes than those who buy based on a love of other things more than money; like the color of a tractor, etc.

The only thing that held up my final decision was a promise to a friend who sold New Holland tractors; when NH went grey market to LS tractors, my friend's dealership dropped-out of the NH line-up.

When comparing all the stats with the requirements; my retired consultant-friend found that Mahindra had more of a total package in that class (3016). Much of what makes a 3016 a good deal is the company and dealerships.

I took his advice (to the letter) and bought from the same dealer; I am satisfied that Mahindra honors the quality & warranty promises.

Only have about 50 hours on a 5035 PST but so far I have been well pleased with performance of tractor. I would suggest you give a 4035 a test drive for a 40 hp model. I did but decided the 5035 would best suit my needs. Many prefer the HST models but I still prefer the PST.

I bought a 3510 new in 2003 with FEL and backhoe, it was without a doubt one tough little machine. I used it for everything around the place, it never failed to start except whenever it needed a new battery. I sold the unit this year so I could purchase a larger tractor, I just hope that the new one gives me the service that my Mahindra did.

My brother has a new 8560 and really likes it. Just towing the tractor, can tell it has some weight to it. I have only spent couple days running it and it has a good ride, stout built can tell. My father-in-law has an older 4005i(I think its the model number),pulls his square baler, runs like a champ...

Thanks for the replys. I have a mahindra dealer 15 miles from work. Do to what I am reading, I will have to check it out and take a test drive. I'm not going to be using it commercially but when it comes to heavy snow plowing, pulling stuck vehicles and down trees, as well as lifting I will need something that will hold up well.

Well I bought a Max25 with FEL, mid-mount mower, and backhoe this summer for about 4 acres of regular turf mowing and various clean-up task around the property. It's fired up every time even at 5 degrees. I cleaned up my driveway several times with no issue. About the only extra I've bought is palette forks because I have things that are larger than the FEL bucket but not overweight.

I've looked at Mahindras fro several years and have as yet to hear much negative. My only issue was a bad routing of hydraulic lines in the build/assembly process. And that was fixed quickly by the dealer.

I have owned a 4035 for about 2.5 years and have over 200 hours on it. The tractor is heavy, rugged and well designed from the driver's perspective when it comes to working it. And I have worked it hard.

My only complaint, and it is getting to be a common one, is leaking hoses - hydraulics three times and fuel twice. It is a heavy tractor, so if you plan on towing it somewhere with any implements, make sure you have a truck that will do the job or you might end up having to leave some behind. :) But all that weight helps with FEL work, and absolutely get a set of pallet forks with it. I use mine more than the bucket on the FEL.
