mahindra max 28 shuttle shift
Can anyone shed some light on my max28 backhoe attachment...mb63...the arm that raises and lowers the hoe seems to be sticking... especially after its been used for a while... as you move the joy stick it "stays engaged " so instead of stopping when you let go of the joy stick, it continues to raise or lower the bucket or swings from left to right without touching it.... the joystick actually feels sticky or sandy instead of nice and smooth like like the dipper joystick.... its brand new...

Welcome to the forum jimmi

I have had the same issue you are having and it is the same valve you are referring to. I loosed the cover around the 4 levers, Sprayed some lubrication on the sticking valve and gave it a try after replacing cover and bolts. same problem arose....... I loosed the bolts on the cover yet again and voila! valve was no longer sticking. I can only assume that the sheet metal that surrounds the valve is so close that it is inhibiting movement of said lever/valve. I have yet to do further investigation as the applied lube seems to be working
good luck

Thank you sir , forgive me if I don't respond correctly or something comes thru accidentally as I'm not too good on a computer
...but this is helpful... I will try exactly that!!! By the way all mahindra max owners....I would recommend you take a few minutes to go over and under your tractor visually looking for wayward hydraulics that were not ty-wrapped up properly by the manufacturer or setup dealer if they added stuff on it for you at the dealership..my dealership was the only joint within 50miles and they were lukewarm in wanting to sell me one... they are a traditional ford\new holland joint but careful research for months led me to the majindra...it is rugged...very nimble...surely has limitations in load and dig, but its not a big cat or case or Deere but the nimbleness allows me to maneuver thru my woods quite easily.... one other tip....if you want a 3" wider rear wheel stance... swap your right rear wheel for your left and vice versa!!! The rims are off set and swapping them gives you an extra 3inches

You are right, the power beyond hoses that lead to the rear of the unit were not fastened and hung loosely under the tractor. I happened to have some huge zip ties and secured the 2 hoses to the sub-frame. Thanks for sharing that bit of info!!! Guess when they installed the backhoe they cut corners in the buttoning up department. Something as simple as a dangling hydraulic hose could get snagged and create a headache.

Never looked to see if the rims could be installed differently. I was thinking that the holes that surround the studs could not be inverted? Perhaps the holes have no flange/taper for the lug-nuts to lock against? I will have to run a lug-nut off to see how it is set up. I would be interested in gaining a wider stance for stability though...

Yes my dealers mechanic came out to my house to service my max28 and saw how steep my terrain is and immediately suggested we swap the wheels around to gain the three inches of stance... they fill the wheels with with windshield washer fluid so they are darn heavy but it gave the unit a wider profile and its noticeable in its tip over profile.....
