So I finally bought my first new tractor the 4025. I bought the backhoe which the dealer said would take about 2 weeks for delivery no biggie. 3 weeks later I go check on the status of the hoe, should be another week. Not to happy but it's on the way right nope Wrong. I went back this week it "might" be in mid to late November. Lotta sorry's nothing we can do's later I get no where with dealer. I call customer service (according to them she's the only that "does this" in the U.S.) who leaves a message that she isn't the one to speak to, I should talk to my dealer. Haven't heard back from the district manager yet but my dealer says it's the same guy he talked to. So Mahindra owners is this what I have to look forward to for the future? Am I being unreasonable? Thanks for reading my rant.

this same topic has been discussed on the forum already, and the consensus is that BH's are being sold in numbers that the dealers can't keep up with. Sales of bh's are going thru thru roof compared to previous years.
I'd suggest you bring the tractor home, use it and when the hoe comes in, get the dealer to pick it up and install it for you.
This is not the typical situation with other Mahindra parts, so don't be concerned.

I have to say that I have had very similar experiences as you stated but about another piece of equipment. I really liked the tractor though so i went with it. still awaiting the tractor.

As old pilgrim mentioned, backhoe sales went up much higher than anticipated. By mid-year we had sold about the same amount of backhoes as we did in the entire year before. We expected an increase, but not this much. Most every truckload of backhoes is sold out by the time they arrive at the distribution centers. Going into winter, I am hopeful we will get caught up and have some reserves of backhoes. This can be a real pain for the dealer and mostly for the end user customer. One upside to Mahindra's month after month of record sales is almost all of the inventory is really fresh.

I wish that happened with me last year when i bought mine. It was a geared/ag tired model that had been sitting on the lot for almost a year. The upside was that i got a great deal on it, pink fenders and all.

Arrow, once you see the prices for the new models that are replacing your 3016....you will be extra happy you bought when you did. The new models are sweet, but the price difference is going to be substantial. Like enough to buy a good portion of a backhoe attachment.
There are no more 3016 or 3616 left in distribution stock anywhere and no more are being made. The new models will start trickling in at the end of the year and will be in short supply for a while. Now is a great time to buy a 3016/3616 as there are still quite a few on dealer lots. In a month or two I suspect they will be in short supply. In a perfect world the old models go away exactly as the new models arrive....but this is not a perfect world.

I am surprised that the Tier 4 switchover didn't have more folks screaming about getting the old versions of the tractors. Heard some, but it is pretty quiet now... [ not that I like screaming.... ]
