Mahindra ipto not engaging

Hello,
I have a mahindra 8560 and the pto will not engage. I mainly use the tractor for moving and stacking round bales of hay. About a month ago the pto worked fine, but when I attached the mower to it yesterday the pto would not engage. I have checked the linkage and it seem to be ok. When the pto shifter is engaged I can move the pto shaft by hand with the tractor not running. Don't know if that means anything. Anyone have some ideas on what the fix may be?

Check the wiring and fuses for the electrical part of the PTO (I'm assuming this is electric over hydraulic like most independent PTOs).

Thanks, don't know if it is electric over hydraulic. My JD has an electric clutch with a pull switch to engage it. The mahindra has an lever that you engage the pto with. I will look for a fuse tomorrow and check for wiring that go to it. It is an independent power take off and I don't think it is electric over hydraulic
