Mahindra 6000.....

   / Mahindra 6000..... #21
The 2007 Mahindra 6500 has just notched up 260 hours as I'm not a heavy user, still it made me think I've spent more than 10 solid days sitting on my arse!:)

Anyhows, all is good except roll pin worked its way out of the clutch fork, fixed under warranty with one of better quality and wired into place.

All in all, pleased with choice and performance.

Safe travelling all.

I have a 5500 2002/3 utility tractor that has brush hogged the entire farm, hauled logs etc. and is the best thing I have ever bought to work with!I have only had a fuel pitcock leak and a battery problem that was my fault. I t has 425 hrs. on it. I am totally satisfied with this tractor.Maybe karma has finally arrived?

Bought a used 6000 thought the rpm wasn't working right, dealer said it was working when they got it in. Radiator fluid looked rusty dirty, but didn't think much of it, need it so bought it. Found that the dash panel doesn't work right, temp goes up immediately, oil pressure goes nearly to upper limit, the rpm needle will function at a certain voltage for a moment or two while the battery is charging up and then for a second when you shut it down and the voltage drops. The voltage gauge seems to work, but then, how to tell if nothing else works right. hour meter doesn't work unless the rpm needle is working so I have no idea if the hours are correct. Has anyone had to replace the instrument panel? I have put less that a hundred hours on it and blew a head gasket. $400 for a head gasket, ouch Head bolts of higher grade extra. I am not a hard user or run the engine at high rpm.

That dealer should stand up some for the bad stuf unless he really sold it to you cheap. Get that engine right and there should never be a problem. You dont know what caused it but it shouldnt have blown a gasket in any normal circumstance. Some prior abuse or overheat may have caused damage.
