I have the 6000 w/ 511 Mahindra (Bradco) BH. I also agree that the 12" and 24" is the best way to go. Mine has plenty of power to dig roots, etc with the 12". It also takes alot less gravel to fill the ditches.
I don't have the pto pump. Not sure I need it. It seems to run fine and fast enough, although as I have gotten better with it I can see how the pump would be usefull if it will increase the speed of the hoe.
Couple of things to watch. I have bumped my knee on the pit cock release knob and lost fluid and then wondered why the hoe was not responding like it should. Make sure it is tight. Also, make sure you back straight on to the hoe when hooking up, it will make attachement go alot quicker.
My dealer marked a new line on my fluid level when I added the hoe. He said it will take more fluid, and so I keep it at a higher level. Only problem is that it will sometimes come out the overflow in the summer without the hoe on a steep hill.
It is a great machine and you will be very impressed. I tore down an old barn last summer and used mine to pull out the corner posts of the barn. Very stout piece of equipment.
Good luck, have fun, and be careful.
