Mahindra 5010 ROPS light wiring

Hi All,

It's been a LONG time! I've been running my 5010 in the woods for three years and love this tractor! But I've broken it a couple times too LOL it's a learning curve. Anyway, this post is to seek help/advise on mounting a ROPS Light kit and wiring it. I purchased the fual light kit from Ropslighting and am trying to figure out were to wire it in. The kit is designed to wire to an aux work light plug but I can't find ANY. The 5010 may not have one but I'm looking anyway.

So far, without finding one I'm wondering if it wouldn't just work to splice the kit into power and ground for one of the rear amber lights? Would be easy enough anyway and the light kit is LED's so in theory they don't draw enough to cause problems (I think).

If anyone has done a light kit on a 5010 (2012 model or other) please chime in as I really need the lighting!

OK I've found the fuse box (never looked before) and there is an empty slot marked 'work lights 10am' so there must be wiring for a work light SOMEWHERE. I just can't find it anywhere on the rear.

Having not found the worklight plug (if there is one even) nd without any other options I disconnected the rar lights(I'm in the middle of the woods in nowhere anyway) and plugged the ROPSLIGHTS into the right rear light plugs. It will do for now until I can get some time and warm weather to wire up a dedicate circuit.

Man those are bright! I'll have to go out tonight and try them out. Also, if you look carefully you will notice that the OEM headlights are on...ya, they are useless.

Not a 5010, but mine had a wire but I didn't find it until after I ran a wire from the fuse block to a new switch in the dash to the new rops light.

No regrets as the wire I found is VERY small.
