mahindra 4530 with loud knock

After changing fuel filters in my tractor when i crunk it up it had normal fuel knock i let it idle as normal and walked away after a minute or so i noticed the knock was getting louder as i got back to tractor it mad a low backfire and died. at this point my tractor was i guess vapor locked or something i keep turning the key and letting starter in gauge about 10-15 times it crunk right back up. i put bucket against a tree and seemed to have plenty of power but still a knocking sound. I shut it down and havent started back up. ( oh yeah the family that i let borrow did not keep fuel tank full of fuel so tank was basically full of rust also was the filters at the time when i changed them) any ideas.

You may have a fuel restriction of some kind. Is a fuel filter in upside down? It seems like your problem started when you changed the fuel filters. You may have to purge your fuel system, if there is rust in the tank. :2cents:
