Now this is a hard one,

Mahindra 4110 12 x12 4WD $ 21000
3510 12x12 4WD $ 20900

vs.

JD 3520 hydro, 4WD $21900
/37 HP, 30 HP PTO, Hydraulics..8,6gpm, weight 2900 lb./,
Both with FEL.

IF this is not tempting, what is? What do you guys think about it? I think the tractors are very similar.......

The Mahindra's are a lot heavier and bigger than the Deere. Check the dimensions and the weights on the tractors. I haven't checked the loader lift on the Deere but I'm sure it is a bit less than 1972# lift on the Mahindra's. The JD 4120 gear drive would be the closer match. Are you having fun shopping? Good luck with it.

I agree the Mahindra is a heavier machine, that's one reason I got mine. When it comes to doing work weight is the biggest factor. Horse power matters most when it comes to running implements and hydralic pumps.

My two cents, I haven't really seen a bad machine, it just depends on your color preference. I have a Mahindra, I had a Long, before that a Bolens, a friend has a Century, another has a John Deere, another a New Holland and my Sister has a Kubota they all seem to be good machines. Go for a Good Dealer, that seems to be most important and of course price. Happy shopping!!

Mahindra makes hydro tractors also, why compare apples to oranges? The price on the Mahindras seems pretty high also, but maybe they went up since I bought one?

The largest hydro they show on their sight is the 3215HST, which may not have enough pto hp for him. At one time, Mahindra was offering a 3510HST but that was a different frame size than the 3510 gear, with a smaller capacity loader.

I do not want hydro, gas pedal is more fun, I think. I test drove JD with hydro, nice, not for me. BTW, apples and oranges are $800 for hydro, in this case minus $ 800 for JD power reverser.
Galen, I found out, that my F 150 can tow 9000 pounds. I was given a different # from a dealer I bought it from........
That makes even 4110 a candidate for incoming election day. I do not question the price, it seems to be OK/I didn't mention a skid steer option, plus the tractor will have to be ordered, so will be new. /
I wouldn't be happy to buy a demo, exposed to elements for 9 months.

Are you sure about that F150 towing 9,000 lbs.? My 2000 F250 Super Duty 4x4 is only rated for 12,000. Don't forget about your trailer weight and implements on your tractor and fluid in your tires in figuring your weight. I used my 4110 commercially for 2 years and of course towed it extensively - you really have to know your equipment to tow it safely. My 20' flat trailer weighs 3,000 lbs. alone. With the loader & fluid in my rear tires, my tractor is right around 7,000 lbs. If I had gotten my tractor before the trailer, I would have gotten a longer trailer too. Very tricky getting the equipment loaded and having the proper tongue weight. With a 6' rotary cutter mounted I have to back onto the trailer and the tailwheel is up close to the tongue jack to get the proper weight distribution. My trailer has brakes on both axles too - wouldn't even attempt to haul it with just brakes on one axle. Some points to consider ....

Joe,
Way to go on the Skid Steer option! Well worth the extra cost in the long run!

Instead of a longer trailer, how about a gooseneck? Then you can park the loader bucket on the neck and let the truck carry more of the load. Not to mention a smoother ride.
