This problem actually started last fall and I messed with it for a little bit, then more or less put the tractor up for the winter and forgot about it until now. So here goes...

While using the tractor to carry some brush and trees on the front end loader, I noticed there was a rubber hose hanging down from beneath the right hand side (as you sit on the tractor) of the operators platform. I had a look at it and traced it back to the top of the fuel tank. I assumed it was maybe a vent or a return line, but for the life of me, I can't find where it should re-connect to. This leads me to believe that maybe whatever line it is supposed to connect to got torn off while was was driving through the brush.

I've found a parts diagram that shows the fuel tank and associated lines. I've added an arrow to show the mystery line. At the present time, I have a bolt stuck in the end of it to keep fuel from running out and have the hose clamp tightened. The tractor continues to run fine and I have no issues other than this.

Can any other 4110 owner or anyone that is knowledgeable tell me where this line is supposed to go? I can't find the diagram that shows where the fuel line goes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

“E/G” is typically an abbreviation for engine. Pull up some of the engine exploded views to possibly find where it goes.

In a car that line would typically go to an evaporative canister but who knows on a tractor. If the tank and filler were separated by a hose and filler it would/could go back up to the filler as a breather.....not really the case with the tractor though.

From what you describe and the pic, that should be the fuel return line and it should connect to the fuel spill pipe that runs between the injectors.

Is this the part I need? I called my closest Mahindra dealer the other day and they said most likely the same thing. However, for the life of me, I can't find a spot on the injection pump where it looks like this would go? I'll take a picture of the pump and post it and see if you guys see something I'm missing.

Thanks for the help.

I thought you said your mystery hose was item#3 in your first post???

The item in your second post is not the same hose.

If #3 is the hose your trying to figure out it should run from the fuel tank under chasis to the top right rear of the engine and connect to the over flow /spill pipe ( steel pipe that runs between the fuel injectors)
Look at the nozzle holder illustration , item# 13 is where it should connect.
