Mahindra 4110 Fuel Filter Leaking

Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound very encouraging for my leak situation. I guess I better be prepared to do the same if it is the filter housing.

If I do that, I'll want to put a shutoff valve in the line from the tank. Did you do that too?

No, I didn't put a shut-off valve in. When I change filters I just clamp the line(s) off with my little clamps made just for that purpose, otherwise there's no need for a valve.

Too bad for me that I had just filled the fuel tank to maximum capacity. This could be a bad o-ring from the last servicing.

Mine sometimes leaks from the left (outlet) connection. They are apparently only pressed in and that one came loose. My plan is to pick up a generic replacement at TSC

I did what @skipmarcy said to do and all is well again!

Less than $8.00 and I'm back in operation again with no leak. Only issue left is how to support the metal in-line fuel filter permanently so that it can stand long-term vibration and not droop down onto the battery terminal.

BTW, my original (OEM) filter had the fuel outlet connected on the right side of the filter. Was that installed wrong at the factory?
