I have been having intermittent problems with the engine dying and not restarting.
My tractor is a 2002. I had previously replaced fuel lines which helped but not solved the issue.
Looking at the right side you see the round booster pump from the tank, near the bottom of the picture. The fuel line comes out of the boost pump and up to a bleed valve at the input to the injection pump.
The hose that goes into the boost pump is on a banjo, with copper sealing washers. The valve has a small o-ring under the gland nut.
I replaced the o-ring and annealed the washers. Pays to have a set of harbor freight o-rings.
Hosed the area off with a hose and look no drip. It was dripping about one drop every 5 seconds when running.
I could not find any part description on-line and the owners manual said only to take it to the dealer, yeah I am going to haul it 200 miles.
The motor runs much better now.
