Planning a Mahindra purchase later this year. Have narrowed down to 2615G or 3215G. Is the 2615G not available with shuttle shift or is it equipped but goes by another name? I hate to spend the $3000. extra for the 3215G, owners opinions would be helpful! Thanks, Garry

I'm not an expert but the 2615 has come in both a gear/syncro model and an HST model. The gear model is not the same as a shuttle shift as far as I know. The 2815 and 3215 are newer models with some updated features and sound/look very nice. They are also a little larger in the cockpit so if you are "person of size" as the airlines term now goes, you might want either the 28 or 32 model. I have the earlier Cub version of the 2615 and I've always felt the cockpit area could be bigger. The syncro model would be cheaper obviously in whatever model you choose. You might look around and find some of the 3015s left over and still get a fine tractor but not the expense of the newer models. There was a recent post on the 3215 from the dealer in CA, I can't remember the post and don't have time to look it up. But I think he said the 3215 in a shuttle was an awesome tractor for some church volunteer work he did.

If you drive the 2615G and the 3215 shuttle, you'll buy the 3215. So don't try it out if you aren't open to the idea of spending the extra $$ /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif The shuttle is a big difference, but also the larger operators area, sliding type sway limiting devices, tighter turning radius, turbo (big difference at altitude), new dash, etc.

Even so, we sell more 2615G than any other model. It is a high quality tractor for a great price.
